Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor from the United States. Known for her work in film and television from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister aged five, old, emigrated away from the city of their birth to St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their divorced father. Bassett was at the age of high school when she was able to see James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and realized that her desire of being an actor had been born. When she graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with a Bachelor's Degree of African American Studies, she went on to earn the Master's degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. The couple got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main roles, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
