Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation occasionally. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since when she was nine years old. Her skills were instrumental in her landing her first position as an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. A CBS channel in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become reporters for sports. She moved in 2009 into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become reporter for news on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs within both Texas and Mexico. Also, she was a substitute anchors on sports and weather. She was then the anchor reporter and anchor for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. Her duties were then expanded to higher responsibilities. She covered major events such as the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was the anchor herself. In addition, she was the host for the morning program of Despierta America Deportes. She also played the job as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta's parents are originally origins from Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point into Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. Also, she has a sibling. The family moved to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. In 1992, her parents divorced and shortly afterward in 1995 she married Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who passed away in the year 2006 of kidney cancer. It was during a holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl got work. Antonietta, a high-school senior having a clear idea of where she wanted her life to be like, visited Mount Union University to determine what she could get out of the college. It was an amazing campus. They also offered her the major that she desired. After graduation, she enrolled at the university for a degree in media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was member of her class, established a long-lasting relationship with the student. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence prompted her. In turn, she strived to exceed the requirements of his boss and not disappoint him.
